Questa informativa spiega quali dati raccoglie Polibop, perché li usa, con chi li condivide e come puoi controllarli o cancellarli. Vale per l’app Polibop su Android e iPhone.

1. Chi tratta i tuoi dati

Il titolare del trattamento è lo sviluppatore di Polibop, contattabile all’indirizzo sito.supporto@gmail.com. Polibop è un’app per guardare, creare e condividere video brevi, foto, storie e dirette.

2. Quali dati raccogliamo

Dati dell’account: email, password (conservata solo in forma cifrata dal servizio di accesso, nessuno può leggerla), nome utente e nome visualizzato. Se accedi con Google, Apple o Facebook riceviamo da loro l’identificativo dell’account, l’email e, se lo condividi, il nome. Se accedi con il numero di telefono, il numero.
Data di nascita: serve a verificare l’età minima di 13 anni e a proteggere chi ha meno di 14 anni. Non è visibile agli altri utenti e non si può cambiare dopo averla confermata.
Profilo: foto, copertina, bio, pronomi, lingua dei contenuti e se l’account è privato o pubblico.
Contenuti che crei: video, foto, storie, dirette, didascalie, hashtag, suoni, commenti (anche vocali), messaggi privati e di gruppo, post nei gruppi, reazioni, bozze e filtri che crei. I messaggi privati sono visibili solo ai partecipanti della conversazione, ma non sono cifrati end-to-end.
Attività nell’app: fuoco (mi piace), follow, salvataggi, ripubblicazioni, condivisioni, video guardati e per quanto tempo, interessi ricavati da queste azioni, utenti bloccati, segnalazioni che invii, impostazioni di privacy e di notifica.
Monete e premi: saldo, movimenti delle monete, regali inviati e ricevuti, giri della ruota, sfide giornaliere, inviti agli amici e punti dei pronostici.
Posizione approssimativa: solo se dai il permesso. La usiamo per la mappa e per i “video vicini” e, se lo scegli quando pubblichi, per collegare un luogo al tuo video. Le coordinate dei video vengono salvate arrotondate a circa 1 km; la posizione del telefono usata per cercare i video vicini non viene conservata.
Fotocamera e microfono: li usiamo solo mentre registri, vai in diretta o lasci un commento vocale. Il riconoscimento del viso per filtri, effetti e avatar avviene solo sul telefono: non salviamo dati biometrici. Nei video avatar pubblichiamo solo i movimenti dell’avatar (testa, occhi, bocca, braccia) e la voce trasformata, mai le immagini della fotocamera.
Polibop AI e traduzioni: i messaggi che scrivi all’assistente Polibop AI e le risposte restano nella cronologia della chat; i testi che chiedi di tradurre vengono inviati al servizio di traduzione solo in quel momento.
Dispositivo e funzionamento: modello del telefono, sistema operativo, versione dell’app e date di accesso di ogni dispositivo collegato al tuo account. Se l’app va in errore inviamo un rapporto tecnico con il messaggio d’errore, l’ultima schermata aperta, il modello del telefono, il sistema operativo e la versione dell’app, collegato al tuo account. Le segnalazioni che scrivi in “Segnala un problema” arrivano con gli stessi dati. Per evitare abusi degli inviti l’app crea anche un codice casuale del telefono (non è l’identificativo pubblicitario).

Non usiamo strumenti pubblicitari o di statistica di terze parti, non tracciamo la tua attività in altre app o siti e non vendiamo i tuoi dati. I post sponsorizzati sono mostrati da Polibop stessa: puoi spegnere gli annunci personalizzati in Privacy e sicurezza.

3. Perché li usiamo

Per fornirti il servizio che hai chiesto registrandoti (contratto, art. 6.1.b GDPR): creare e gestire l’account, pubblicare e mostrare i contenuti, messaggi, dirette, gruppi, monete, regali e premi.
Per scegliere i video del feed “Per te” in base a ciò che guardi e con cui interagisci (contratto e legittimo interesse a offrire un feed utile).
Per la sicurezza: prevenire frodi, spam e abusi, moderare i contenuti, gestire le segnalazioni e proteggere i minori (legittimo interesse e obblighi di legge).
Per correggere errori e migliorare l’app grazie ai rapporti tecnici (legittimo interesse).
Posizione, fotocamera e microfono: solo con il tuo consenso, dato con i permessi del telefono e revocabile in qualsiasi momento dalle impostazioni del telefono.
Per rispettare la legge e rispondere a richieste valide delle autorità (obbligo di legge).

4. Con chi li condividiamo

Supabase: database, accesso all’account, archivio di video e foto e funzioni del server. I dati sono conservati su server nell’Unione Europea (Irlanda).
LiveKit: trasmissione audio e video delle dirette in tempo reale.
Cloudflare (Workers AI): genera le risposte di Polibop AI e le traduzioni dei commenti con un modello di intelligenza artificiale; riceve solo il testo necessario, quando usi queste funzioni.
OpenFreeMap: fornisce le immagini della mappa, che il telefono scarica direttamente; vede l’indirizzo IP e la zona della mappa che stai guardando.
Google, Apple e Facebook: solo se scegli di accedere con il loro account.
Il servizio che invia le email dell’app (conferma dell’account, cambio email, recupero della password) e, se accedi con il telefono, quello che invia gli SMS con il codice.
Gli altri utenti vedono ciò che pubblichi secondo le tue impostazioni: con l’account privato solo i follower che approvi. Il nome utente, il nome e la foto del profilo sono sempre visibili.
Le autorità competenti, quando la legge lo richiede o per proteggere la sicurezza di qualcuno, in particolare dei minori.

Alcuni di questi fornitori possono trattare dati anche fuori dall’Unione Europea (per esempio negli Stati Uniti): in quel caso il trasferimento avviene con le garanzie previste dal GDPR, come le clausole contrattuali standard della Commissione europea o il Data Privacy Framework.

5. Per quanto tempo li conserviamo

Account, profilo e contenuti restano finché tieni l’account. Puoi eliminare un singolo contenuto in qualsiasi momento.
Le storie spariscono per gli altri dopo 24 ore; restano visibili solo a te finché non le elimini o elimini l’account.
Quando elimini l’account cancelliamo subito profilo, contenuti, file, messaggi, commenti, monete e rapporti di errore. Le copie di sicurezza tecniche del server vengono sovrascritte entro 30 giorni.
Possiamo conservare più a lungo solo ciò che la legge ci impone, per esempio le informazioni su contenuti illegali segnalati alle autorità.

6. Minori

Polibop è vietato ai minori di 13 anni: la registrazione non è possibile sotto questa età e, se scopriamo che un utente ha meno di 13 anni, chiudiamo l’account. Chi ha meno di 14 anni vede solo i video adatti alla sua età, finché un genitore non lo consente dal proprio account. Un genitore che pensa che il figlio ci abbia dato dati senza averne l’età può contattarci per farli cancellare.

7. I tuoi diritti

Secondo il GDPR puoi chiedere di accedere ai tuoi dati, correggerli, cancellarli, limitarne l’uso, opporti a un trattamento basato sul legittimo interesse, riceverli in un formato leggibile (portabilità) e revocare il consenso dato.

Molte cose le fai direttamente nell’app: Modifica profilo, Privacy e sicurezza → Scarica una copia dei tuoi dati, Impostazioni → Profilo e account → Elimina account (vedi come eliminare l’account). Per il resto scrivici a sito.supporto@gmail.com: rispondiamo entro 30 giorni.

Se pensi che i tuoi dati siano trattati in modo scorretto puoi presentare reclamo al Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).

8. Sicurezza

Le comunicazioni tra l’app e il server sono cifrate (HTTPS). Ogni tabella del database ha regole che permettono di leggere solo ciò che spetta a ciascun utente. Nessun sistema è sicuro al 100%: se scopriamo una violazione che ti riguarda, ti avvisiamo come previsto dalla legge.

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Polibop collects, why it uses it, who it shares it with and how you can control or delete it. It applies to the Polibop app on Android and iPhone.

1. Who processes your data

The data controller is the developer of Polibop, who you can reach at sito.supporto@gmail.com. Polibop is an app to watch, create and share short videos, photos, stories and live streams.

2. What data we collect

Account data: email, password (stored only in hashed form by the sign-in service; nobody can read it), username and display name. If you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook we receive the account identifier, the email and, if you share it, your name. If you sign in with your phone number, the number.
Date of birth: used to check the minimum age of 13 and to protect users under 14. It is not visible to other users and cannot be changed once confirmed.
Profile: photo, cover, bio, pronouns, content language and whether the account is private or public.
Content you create: videos, photos, stories, live streams, captions, hashtags, sounds, comments (including voice comments), private and group messages, group posts, reactions, drafts and filters you create. Private messages are visible only to the participants of the conversation, but they are not end-to-end encrypted.
Activity in the app: likes (“fire”), follows, saves, reposts, shares, videos watched and for how long, interests derived from these actions, blocked users, reports you send, privacy and notification settings.
Coins and rewards: balance, coin transactions, gifts sent and received, wheel spins, daily challenges, friend invites and prediction points.
Approximate location: only if you grant permission. We use it for the map and “nearby videos” and, if you choose so when posting, to attach a place to your video. Video coordinates are stored rounded to about 1 km; the phone position used to search nearby videos is not stored.
Camera and microphone: used only while you record, go live or leave a voice comment. Face detection for filters, effects and avatars runs only on your phone: we do not store biometric data. For avatar videos we publish only the avatar’s movements (head, eyes, mouth, arms) and the transformed voice, never the camera images.
Polibop AI and translations: the messages you write to the Polibop AI assistant and its replies are kept in the chat history; texts you ask to translate are sent to the translation service only at that moment.
Device and diagnostics: phone model, operating system, app version and sign-in dates of each device linked to your account. If the app crashes we send a technical report with the error message, the last screen opened, the phone model, operating system and app version, linked to your account. Reports you write in “Report a problem” are sent with the same data. To prevent invite abuse the app also creates a random code for the phone (it is not the advertising identifier).

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics tools, we do not track your activity across other apps or websites and we do not sell your data. Sponsored posts are shown by Polibop itself: you can turn off personalized ads in Privacy and security.

3. Why we use it

To provide the service you asked for when signing up (contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): creating and managing the account, publishing and showing content, messages, live streams, groups, coins, gifts and rewards.
To choose the videos of the “For you” feed based on what you watch and interact with (contract and legitimate interest in offering a useful feed).
For safety: preventing fraud, spam and abuse, moderating content, handling reports and protecting minors (legitimate interest and legal obligations).
To fix bugs and improve the app using technical reports (legitimate interest).
Location, camera and microphone: only with your consent, given through the phone permissions and revocable at any time in the phone settings.
To comply with the law and answer valid requests from authorities (legal obligation).

4. Who we share it with

Supabase: database, account sign-in, storage of videos and photos and server functions. Data is stored on servers in the European Union (Ireland).
LiveKit: real-time audio and video transmission of live streams.
Cloudflare (Workers AI): generates Polibop AI replies and comment translations with an artificial intelligence model; it receives only the text needed, when you use these features.
OpenFreeMap: provides the map images, downloaded directly by your phone; it sees your IP address and the map area you are viewing.
Google, Apple and Facebook: only if you choose to sign in with their account.
The service that sends the app’s emails (account confirmation, email change, password recovery) and, if you sign in with your phone, the one that sends the SMS codes.
Other users see what you post according to your settings: with a private account, only the followers you approve. Username, name and profile photo are always visible.
Competent authorities, when required by law or to protect someone’s safety, especially minors.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union (for example in the United States): in that case the transfer relies on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the Data Privacy Framework.

5. How long we keep it

Account, profile and content are kept as long as you keep the account. You can delete any single piece of content at any time.
Stories disappear for others after 24 hours; they remain visible only to you until you delete them or your account.
When you delete your account we immediately delete profile, content, files, messages, comments, coins and crash reports. Technical server backups are overwritten within 30 days.
We may keep data longer only where the law requires it, for example information about illegal content reported to the authorities.

6. Children

Polibop is not allowed for children under 13: sign-up is not possible below this age and, if we find out that a user is under 13, we close the account. Users under 14 see only age-appropriate videos until a parent allows otherwise from their own account. A parent who believes their child gave us data without being old enough can contact us to have it deleted.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interest, receive it in a readable format (portability) and withdraw any consent given.

Many of these you can do directly in the app: Edit profile, Privacy and security → Download a copy of your data, Settings → Profile and account → Delete account (see how to delete your account). For anything else write to sito.supporto@gmail.com: we reply within 30 days.

If you believe your data is processed unlawfully you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the authority of your country.

8. Security

Communication between the app and the server is encrypted (HTTPS). Every database table has rules that only let each user read what belongs to them. No system is 100% secure: if we discover a breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Changes

If we change this policy in a significant way we will tell you in the app before the changes take effect.
